Treatment Rooms

The treatment rooms are designed to be relaxing. Each Treatment Room has its own individual colour scheme.

Treatment Room

Cross Infection

Treatment Room Professional guidelines relating to the Prevention of Cross Infection are rigorously followed and updated whenever new research recommends. We would like to reassure our prospective patients that after the completion of each patient's treatment, all air rotors, hand pieces and hand instruments are cleaned ultra sonically to remove all debris and then sterilized in an autoclave at 134° Celsius. This destroys all bacteria, bacterial spores, virus (including Aids) and fungi. New rubber gloves are worn by both the Dentist and his Dental Surgery Assistant for each patient and immediately discarded afterwards. Disposable needles and cartridges are always used and other items where possible.

Equipment

Three of the latest advanced pieces of equipment in use are the Intra-oral Camera and Air Abrasion cavity preparation, Ozone therapy which can lead to no drill, no fill restoration of teeth.

HealOzone Dental Ozone

A means of treating dental decay without the possible need for injections or fillings. Ozone is a pale blue coloured gas, which naturally occurs in earth's highest atmosphere to protect us from harmful sunlight and is produced during thunderstorms. Ozone kills bacteria, viruses and fungi so effectively that for at least 40 years it has been used to treat drinking water, purifies most bottled water and is used to clean waste water and toxic waste. Intra-Oral Camera

This miniature camera has connections to a viewing screen and a printer. This enables the patient to view in close up detail on a monitor, the problematic areas of individual teeth. Prints can be taken from the screen image and used in treatment planning by the dentist as well as a reference by the patient to compare both 'before' and 'after' images once treatment is completed.
